Before the Cruise

• Ensure the engine and boat are in good condition.
• Verify that all safety equipment is onboard.
• Inform someone about your destination, estimated return time, and your location.
• Check that the fuel tank is full and know how many miles you can cover.
• Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged. In case of emergency, call 112 and explain the situation (only in emergencies).
• Check the weather forecast to ensure it’s safe for boating.
• No one on the boat should be intoxicated.
• Ensure everyone, especially children, is wearing a life jacket.

Starting the Boat

• Lower the engine into the water.
• Have the quick stop device in hand.
• Make sure the gear is in neutral before starting the engine.
• Ensure all passengers are seated before starting the cruise.

While You’re Driving

• Start slowly and gradually increase speed.
• Avoid driving at full throttle.
• Stay at least 300 meters away from the beach.
• Do not follow closely behind other boats or ships.
• If another boat is approaching, move to the right.
• If another boat is crossing your path, pass behind it.
• Always keep the boat facing forward.
• Be cautious of objects in the water.
• Keep a safe distance from scuba divers (who have a buoy).
• When approaching a swimming area, slow down to a maximum speed of 5 knots.
• Never leave the boat unattended; the captain must always be on board.
• When anchoring, ensure the water depth is no more than 7 meters. The anchor rope should be three times the depth.
• Dark blue water indicates deep areas; light blue indicates shallow areas.
• Slow down and be cautious of rocks, which are often visible due to the water color changing to dark gray, green, or black.
